Using AI Responsibly for Learning

AI tools can explain ideas, suggest outlines and give feedback on writing. Used well, they help you learn faster. Used carelessly, they can replace the thinking you are trying to develop.

Try to use AI to understand, not to avoid understanding. Ask it to explain a topic in simpler words, then explain it back in your own words. Ask for feedback on a draft you wrote rather than asking it to write the draft.

Always check important facts. AI tools can sound confident and still be wrong, so confirm anything that matters with a reliable source or your teacher.

Protect personal information: avoid putting private details about yourself, your family or other people into AI tools. And follow your school or teacher's rules about when AI help is allowed.
